Sandy left billions of devastation and at least 51 dead in the East Coast the last couple of days. The WEEK before typhoon OFEL also devastated my island province of Marinduque in the Philippines with floods. Are these two typhoons the effects of global warming? What do you think?
The following three videos were taken during and after the typhoon
Ofel in , Marinduque, Philippines. Thanks the Lord it was not as devastating as Sandy.
There was flooding all over the province, but luckily only one death was an aftermath of this calamity.
I can't believe this is happening in our hometown. It's evidently caused by our activities in the past as well as today: burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.
ReplyDeleteIt's alarming to see the flash flood almost reaching the top of the bridge. A super storm with stronger winds and heavier downpour could sink the whole town sooner than we think if no precautionary measures will be undertaken immediately. This is something that our local officials should focus on with the help of everyone.
